Log Jam

I love the ends of cut logs. The smell too but that’s beyond the scope if this log to represent. A few images will have to suffice. Needless to say, this subject can produce endless permutations. Fun to work with.

Lightning strike

I found this tree that had been cut down. The top of the tree looked normal, but at the base it was clear that it had taken a serious lightning strike at some point. Irresistible to get some shots of the beautiful grain.

Feeding Jellybean Tiger

This is a video I made recently at the Carolina Tiger Rescue, while spending time with my best bud, Jellybean. Turn up your speakers, Jellybean and I carry one quite a conversation about his treats.  You can clearly hear him say “More!” and “Mine!”.

Reflective morning

Sorry to bore everyone with another faucet picture. But this was so amazing I had to get the pic. All I did was crop and boost the contrast on this high-def shot. I recommend a handy little app called “rotate and crop” which does exactly what you think it might do, along with functions for adjusting brightness and contrast.

UPDATE: I added a severely cropped B&W version. (Using Simply B&W, one of my go-to apps for simple conversions like this.)
